Around Suttons Bay
Village homes, orchard country and summer places
Suttons Bay is a village on M-22 along the west shore of Grand Traverse Bay, where M-204 heads west across the Leelanau Peninsula toward Lake Leelanau. In the village, older homes sit on compact lots, and their garages tend to be modest, some attached and some detached.
Outside the village the land rolls into orchards, vineyards and farms, with larger homes on acreage and plenty of barns and outbuildings. Those properties bring pole barn and oversize doors into the picture, and we handle those alongside standard garage doors.
Many homes on the peninsula are summer places, closed from fall until the next season. A garage door that sits through a Leelanau winter can come back with a stuck opener, a spring that broke while no one was there, or a bottom seal chewed up by mice. A maintenance visit before you move back in gets the door ready for the season.
