Around Old Mission Peninsula
Waterfront homes, second homes and farm outbuildings
The peninsula is narrow, only about three miles across at its widest, so very little of it sits far from water. Homes along Peninsula Drive and the East Bay shore take wind straight off Grand Traverse Bay, and in winter that wind carries snow and cold against anything facing the water. Garage doors here need tight weather seals and hardware that holds up to damp air.
Up the middle, along Center Road, which is M-37, the land opens into cherry orchards and vineyards. Farm properties often have pole barns and equipment buildings with oversize doors that see hard use. We service pole barn and oversize doors along with standard residential ones.
Plenty of peninsula homes are second homes that sit closed for part of the year. A door that has not moved in months can have a broken spring, a stiff opener or a bottom seal stuck to the slab waiting when the owners return. A maintenance visit at the start of the season is a good way to find those problems early.
